Time for some history! Much like “The Trial of Andrew Johnson,” this story will take place on the days of the seven debates, 160 years later (which actually may take me into weekends on a couple of these, I’m still figuring that out).

And much like all these mini history stories I like to do from time to time, they will only merely scratch the surface on the subject, but please revisit the subject matter, if you can, since I often forget just how rich the actual substances of these debates were. For instance, with all the news and speculation lately if the president used a pretty horrible racial epithet in the past, well look no further than the first Lincoln/Douglas debate to really show that history tends to repeat itself.

Special appearance by Mary Todd, who Douglas tried to court before she married Lincoln.
