I know I’ll get some flack for this one but my views on this subject are pretty set. Nuclear weapons are a scourge on humanity and I think the only mistake greater than creating them was using them. I understand all of the arguments in favor of Truman dropping the bomb and none of them address the fact that we have been dealing with the devastating consequences of the mere existence of nuclear weapons for almost 75 years. Of course, smarter minds may disagree.

If anyone lives in the Los Angeles area, I would love to rant at you in person about my extreme distaste and outright fear of nuclear weapons over a nice local craft beer.

I’d also like to address the fact that I know “Little Boy” wasn’t technically a Dashiell Hammett character. It was, however, a riff on the theme, so I stand by it.
